And this 8th March, Cashify’s Women’s Day celebration takes a moment to bring some huge record-breaking insights on how women drive the smartphone industry, and how women have helped us achieve some unique records in our sales. From August 2025 to February 2026, we saw 6 lakh women users join our platform, making the total count grow from 35 lakh to 41 lakh.     Cashify has seen the growing participation of women on its platform, revealing that over 41 lakh women users engaged between August and February.

    This reflects a 17% year-on-year growth compared to 35 lakh women users during the same period last year. In contrast, male user growth stood at 9% year-on-year, showing that women are adopting re-commerce at nearly twice the pace. 

    Data Insights: How Women Have Fueled India’s Recommerce Growth

    Women are changing the circular economy into a sophisticated financial strategy. By giving leverage to high-performance flagships and timing upgrades, women have helped us grow our businesses, and the joining hands have come from across the nation.

    Today, nearly 48% of women users are concentrated across the top 10 cities. Delhi emerges as the largest contributor, followed by Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Pune.

    At the same time, the rise of women’s participation extends beyond metros. We received strong participation by women in Tier 2 cities such as Patna, Lucknow, Kolkata, Jaipur and Ahmedabad. So, we are superglad how Cashify’s Women’s Day has become a nationwide celebration.

Combined with Samsung, these two giants dominate the segment, signalling a sophisticated preference for reliability and high resale potential.

    The data further shatters stereotypes regarding gender and tech adoption; women aren’t just buying premium, they are active participants in the high-value trade-in cycle. In fact, Apple makes up 43% of the devices women sell.
