  • The latest Vivo X500 series leaks suggest that the company is preparing a major upgrade to its flagship smartphone lineup. After launching the previous generation recently, Vivo now appears to be working on the Vivo X500 series, which is expected to include the standard Vivo X500, Vivo X500 Pro, and Vivo X500 Pro Max models. Early details point to significant improvements in display technology, performance, and camera hardware.

Vivo X500 Leaks: Display Upgrades And Design Details

Vivo X500 series will sport ZEISS Image feature

According to fresh leaks from a well known Chinese tipster, the Vivo X500 series will focus heavily on display quality. All three models are expected to feature flat panels with high refresh rates and improved biometric security.

Here are the expected display specifications:

    • 6.37-inch LTPO flat display with 1.5K resolution
    • 6.59-inch LTPS flat display with 1.5K resolution
    • 6.85-inch LTPO flat display with 2K resolution
    • 144Hz refresh rate across all models
    • 3D ultrasonic in display fingerprint scanner

These upgrades mark a noticeable step forward compared to the Vivo X300 series, which offered up to 120Hz refresh rates on most models. The shift to 144Hz across the lineup suggests smoother scrolling and better gaming performance.

    Performance And Camera Improvements

The Vivo X500 leaks also highlight major upgrades under the hood. The standard Vivo X500 is expected to run on a MediaTek chipset, while the Pro models could offer more powerful processors.

Expected performance and camera features include:

    • Processor: MediaTek Dimensity 9600 chip on Vivo X500
    • Processor: MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro SoC on Pro models from MediaTek
    • Camera: Triple rear camera setup on Pro Max
    • Sony LYT 838 primary sensor from Sony
    • 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens
    • Upgraded ultra wide camera
    • Battery: Large 7,000mAh battery on Pro Max

These upgrades suggest that Vivo is aiming to strengthen its position in premium photography and battery performance.

Based on past launch timelines, the Vivo X500 and X500 Pro could arrive around October this year. If the leaks turn out to be accurate, the X500 series may bring one of the most noticeable upgrades in Vivo’s flagship lineup so far.
