Realme C17 is the latest smartphone in its C series and offers a plethora of specifications within a budget. The phone has a 13MP AI Quad-Camera, a 5000 mAh battery with 18W charger, a Snapdragon 460 SoC, and a 90Hz display which are some of its strong selling points. The runs on Realme UI which is another USP while its price tag as well into your budget no matter the needs.

Realme C17 is available in just one trim i.e. 6GB+128GB and it is available at a price tag of Rs.12,999/-. Realme C17 comes as another addition to the budget-oriented series.
Realme phones have always been one of the best when it comes to the design and Realme C17 is no different. It takes a shot at tranquility with its stylish and reflective back panel clad in two color options i.e. Navy Blue and Lake Green. The back panel is completely free of distractions as it doesn’t have anything other than the camera setup and a circular fingerprint scanner. All the edges are curved for a better grip. At the front, the phone sports a colossal display with tiny bezels on the left and right sides. In fact, the chin is the only part that looks thick. Realme has cut all the frills to make C17 a classy designed phone in a budget.
Realme C17 sports a giant 6.5-inch IPS LCD display with a punch-hole cut-out to the top-left corner. The display is surprisingly vivid and vibrant with a resolution of 720×1600 pixels and a 270 PPI density. It has a Corning Gorilla Glass protection on an unspecified version. Moreover, the display has a 90Hz refresh rate which is 50% better than the regular 60Hz displays. The display is ultra-smooth thanks to the higher refresh rate while the 90% screen-to-body ratio makes it great for watching movies and playing games, etc.
Realme C17 packs in a Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 SoC manufactured on an 11nm node. The chipset is clocked at 1.8GHz max frequency and has an Adreno 610 GPU tagged along. The device is equipped with 6GB RAM and 128GB UFS 2.1 storage with a dedicated slot to expand storage further. The entry-level chipset surprisingly performs exceptionally well when compared to other entry-level chipsets.
Finally, it runs on the latest Android 10-backed Realme UI 1.0 which has a plethora of features and more are coming with future updates.
Realme C17 boasts an AI Quad Camera setup at the back for better photography and videography. A 13MP primary sensor sits flushed with an 8MP ultrawide sensor which is a field of view of 119°, and 2MP macro and a 2MP B&W lens for better depth effects. All this is arranged in an L-shaped pattern inside a rectangular camera bump. The phone is packed with 1080p video recording, Chrome Boost, Super Nightscape for excellent photography at night, and more. It’s UltraWide Mode gives you more areas to cover while the Ultra Macro Mode grabs photos of tiny objects in excellent detail. The front has an 8MP In-display selfie camera with built-in AI Beauty Mode and Portrait Mode and it offers excellent clarity and details as well.
Realme C17 packs in a hefty 5000 mAh battery which has been tested to last 34 days on standby. Overall, the battery produces 18.6 hours of watching videos on YouTube, 35.7 hours of calls, 83.4 hours of Spotify, and so on. Realme C17 engages a Super Power Saving Mode when you reach 5% that shuts everything down except a few apps for hours of battery life when needed. An 18W Quick Charge is fast enough to get the phone’s battery charged in almost two hours.
Realme never fails to impress the masses with its exceptional design and better specifications and Realme C17 is no different. It brings all the things that you would need but in a budget phone may it be its processor to the battery to the display and so on. A faster processor could have helped and so does the greater display resolution, a better camera but overall, it does perform well given its price tag.
