Umidigi Bison Design

UMIDIGI Bison is not designed to be sleek or thin. It has a notable thickness of 12.8 mm, which is normal for most tough smartphones. However, at just 250g, it is reasonably priced. The weight is equally distributed and not concentrated at the top or bottom, making it simpler to manage.

Umidigi Bison has IP68 and IP69K ratings. This allows the gadget to be submerged for up to 1.5 metres for a maximum of 30 minutes. IP68 also protects against dust, dirt, and sand. The IP69K rating indicates that the gadget can resist the thermal steam wash test. This allows it to withstand water pressures of up to 100 bar (1450 psi) at a maximum temperature of 80 °C. The gadgets also have a barometer and two programmable buttons for improved device control.

 Umidigi Bison comes powered by the MediaTek Helio P60 chipset. With inbuilt 6GB of RAM and 128GB of speedier UFS 2.1 storage, the GT easily surpassed the 30K mark on AnTuTu Benchmark. As for the software, the Bison comes pre-installed with stock Android 10.

UMIDIGI Bison is a 4G VoLTE smartphone that can accept two 4G equipped sim cards at the same time. However, due to the hybrid sim slot, you must decide whether to utilise two sim cards or a single sim coupled with an external MicroSD card to extend the onboard memory.

Umidigi Bison Camera

Rugged cell phones have long struggled to provide decent photographic quality. Things have changed with the new BISON. A 48MP main camera is housed in the back camera module. With an aperture of F1.79, it should be possible to take some nice night photos. A 16 MP ultra-wide lens, a 5MP depth sensor, and a 5MP macro lens are housed in the back module. The BISON GT, on the other hand, just has a single 24MP selfie shooter.

Umidigi Bison is powered by a robust 5000mAh battery that can easily last a full day with moderate to heavy usage. Casual users may be able to extend it to 1.5 days. Apart from this, there is support for 18W fast charging that’ll help in refilling the battery quickly. There is a Type-C charging port available for connecting the charger with the device. 

Umidigi Bison First Impressions

If you’re looking for a tough smartphone, the UMIDIGI Bison is a great option. It has a tonne of cool features, and the price-to-performance ratio is excellent. It has a good display, a large battery, and a certified robust construction that will withstand normal wear and tear. Aside from that, the camera system is a pleasant addition, and the performance is about what you’d expect for the $150 price tag.
