Did you know that smartphone users in New Delhi break their screens the most? Did you know that smartphone users in New Delhi also are most honest about their phones’ condition while putting them up for sale online? This, and more, is what we discovered when we studied the second hand smartphone market in India in 2019. Read on to find out more from the Cashify White Paper 2020 Edition.

When it comes to brands that got sold the most in the second hand market by their former users, Xiaomi topped the charts. Next in line was the South Korean tech giant Samsung. Coming down to specific models, the Redmi Note 4 was the most sold device by its former owners. The iPhone 6 came in second in our rankings. Most of these smartphones got sold during the weekends.

While looking at the second hand smartphone market,  we also unearthed other information about it. Since, sellers are needed to mention the condition of their phones while posting them online for sale, most of the people from rest of the cities than Delhi attempted to oversell theirs with inaccurate details, but not the sellers from the national capital.
