Redmi Note 10 5G Price in India
The 4GB/128GB model costs RMB 1099 (about Rs 12,500), the 6GB/128GB model costs RMB 1199 (roughly Rs 13,700), the 8GB/128GB model costs RMB 1399 (roughly Rs 15,900), and the 8GB/256GB model costs RMB 1599 (roughly Rs 18,200). Users who pre-order the phones will receive an RMB 100 discount across all versions, and the phones were set for sale in Chine from June ist.
Looking at the back, there is company branding at the bottom and at the top left corner, Redmi Note 10 5G features a stylish camera module for housing the triple camera setup. The rear panel attracts fingerprints due to its shiny surface made of plastic. The front side is designed with a punch-hole right at the top centre and the bezels around the edges are negligible, while the chin at the bottom is almost absent.
On the top, there is an IR blaster along with a 3.5mm headphone jack and the right edge comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor on top of the power button, which is very quick and there is a volume rocker beside it. The bottom side features a Type-C charging port along with a speaker grille and a microphone. The left edge features the SIM tray with 3 slots.
With an overall weight of 190 grams, which is due to the large battery inside and a thickness of 8.92 mm, the smartphone might seem a little bulky to users with small hands, while others will be able to handle it with ease.
For your information, there is no AMOLED panel. But yes there is a 90Hz refresh rate, which is quite amazing at the given price tag. Redmi Note 10 5G display measures 6.5-inches and comes with 1080P resolution along with reading mode 3.0 and 360-degree ambient light sensors. The overall display quality is stunning.
The performance is very solid with the MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset. It supports 5G connectivity and is able to provide a decent gaming experience without any stutter. For multitasking, there is 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage available in the Redmi Note 10 5G.
On the software front, Redmi Note 10 5G runs on MIUI 12 based on Android 11. As for the connectivity, the smartphone supports dual SIM dual standby 5G. However, the sound quality is not that good here.
Speaking in a nutshell, the camera section is disappointing. Redmi Note 10 5G features a 48MP triple rear camera setup, composed of a 48MP main sensor, a 2MP macro camera and a 2MP depth sensor.
For photography, the main camera is going to be useful here and the rest of the two sensors are almost useless. So, don’t expect quality pictures here, but it doesn’t mean the quality would be meagre.
The rear camera supports 1080P videos at 30fps and slow-motion videos at 120fps. Other features on the rear side include Video Macro mode, Time-Lapse videos, Night Mode, AI camera 5.0 and Slow Motion Video.
The front camera is not that good as well. There is an 8MP selfie camera with multiple features but it struggles to bring accurate details in the picture. The overall camera setup could have been much better at the given price point.
In the battery section, you are provided with a large 5000 mAh battery, which is sufficient to maintain the power requirement for the whole day. For refilling the battery quickly, but not that quick, there is 18W fast charging support and at the bottom, there is a Type-C charging port for connecting the charger with the device.
Given the price tag of Redmi Note 10 5G, there are some interesting specs like the superfast 5G connectivity, a strong processor, large battery, decent RAM and storage align with Android 11, which make the overall package very interesting. Although there isn’t an AMOLED panel, still the 90Hz refresh rate is there to cover up this. The only thing that is disappointing here is the camera setup. If you are okay with this, you can wait for its Indian launch.
