Huawei recently launched its new smartphone, the Huawei Y5P in mainland china and it is expected to launch on August 28, 2020, in India. It is going to be an entry-level phone from Huawei with 4G support. Huawei Y5P rocks Android 10 with EMUI custom skin, with a sleek design and a decent camera. This phone is targeted towards offline users and will lack Google services due to the US government’s ban on Huawei.
Huawei Y5P Price in India
Huawei Y5P is a budget segment smartphone mainly launched in the global market with no news on when it will come to the Indian market. Huawei Y5P price in the global market is 140$ which comes as a very affordable price tag. Huawei Y5P is expected to be launched in India at a price of Rs.10,290 in the month of August.
The Honor Y5P has a full view display with thin bezels on top and bottom that houses the front camera and a few other sensors. The back panel is made of plastic and there’s a square camera cutout on the top left corner of the back panel which houses a single camera and flash. The back panel has seamless design other than the Huawei branding. The device weighs around 144 grams and has dimensions of 146.5 x 70.9 x 8.4 mm. It is not a waterproof design which is obviously too much to ask for an entry-level smartphone. Honor Y5P will be available in three different colour variants:- Blue, black, and green.
The Huawei Y5P houses a 5.45 inches TFT display and has a resolution of 720×1440 pixels with 295ppi pixel density. The display is capable of showing 16 million different colours. The device has a decent 73.8% screen-to-body ratio and also supports multi-touch.
Huawei Y5P is powered by Mediatek MT6762R Helio P22 octa-core and GPU is PowerVR GE8320 and a 2GB RAM. It can run normal apps with ease but the SoC can produce a lot of heat if overused. You will feel no lags while performing day to day tasks like using social media and watching videos. You might face lags and heating issues while gaming and video editing. The processor of this phone is outdated and not the best value-for-money.
Honor Y5P runs on Android 10 with EMUI 10.1 custom skin.
The front camera is a 5MP sensor. It can take decent photos and is placed in the upper bezels of the phone. The rear camera is an 8MP sensor with features like digital zoom, face detection, and touch to focus.
Huawei Y5P houses a Non-removable 3020 mAh Li-po battery in addition with a standard 10-watt charging. It can barely last for a day.
Huawei Y5P is not so appealing to people who appreciate good specifications. It is a pretty basic phone and does not provide the best value-for-money. In a market where you can get a Realme 3 pro or a Redmi note 7pro for a lesser price, this phone is a waste of money. You can get better devices than this in half the price. And with the compromise of Google services, this phone is not recommended by us. It is a decent phone but overpriced even when it has entry-level specs. Don’t buy it.
