Moto G31 price in India
Moto G31 is available in Mineral Grey and Baby Blue colour options, and it costs INR 12,999 ($173) for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage configuration. Additionally, there’s a 6/128GB variant available for INR 14,999 ($200). The first sale of the Moto G31 will begin on December 6 via Flipkart.
Design
The Moto G31 is a big upgrade over last year’s Moto G30. However, despite the fact that it is still made of plastic, the material feels sturdy, which substantially improves the overall quality of construction and finish. If you look closely, you’ll see beautiful back cameras, well-stacking buttons, and a discreet fingerprint scanner.
To top it all off, the Moto G31 has a dark colour gradient that transitions from maroon to blue tones in different lighting conditions. In spite of the phone’s 5000mAh battery, it is light and thin. As a result of the AMOLED display, the phone’s bezels are significantly reduced.
The bottom of the Moto G31 has a single speaker and a USB Type-C connector with a 3.5mm headphone socket. The right side of the device has all of the controls. The volume rocker and power button are located below the specialised Google Assistant button at the device’s apex. Motorola’s branding appears on the rear of the fingerprint sensor. This phone includes a hybrid dual-SIM tray.
Display
The Moto G31 is equipped with a 6.4-inch AMOLED hole-punch display, which is becoming more widespread among smartphones in this price range. The panel, on the other hand, has a regular 60Hz refresh rate, which may seem to be a setback when compared to the G30’s 90Hz display. Although the absence of a high refresh rate option is obvious, the screen itself seems to be of good quality.
Performance o
Moto G31 will use a MediaTek G85 SoC instead of Qualcomm’s silicon seen in the Moto G30. 2 GHz clock speed and a 12nm production technology are the specifications for this CPU. However, the MediaTek Helio G85’s 13k price tag makes it a less-than-ideal CPU choice. . It also supports 128GB eMMC 5.1 storage support, which means that at times, the phone may seem sluggish. Apart from this, there is 6GB RAM available.
Furthermore, Motorola’s “near-stock” Android 11 is enhanced by the AMOLED display, making the user experience even better. An improvement over other skins, such as MIUI and Realme, is the absence of bloatware and pop-up ads. Furthermore, you may still experiment with a variety of pleasing personalization possibilities.
Camera
The Moto G31 has three back cameras. There is a main camera with a resolution of 50 megapixels, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a macro camera with a resolution of 2 megapixels. A 13-megapixel front-facing camera is responsible for selfies. Motorola says that the 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera doubles as a depth sensor, eliminating the need for a specialised depth sensor.
In terms of resolution, the main camera has been downgraded from a 64-megapixel lens on the G30 to a 50-megapixel lens, although real picture quality relies on more than this number.
Battery
The battery capacity of 5,000mAh remains unchanged, as does the 20W charger’s output power as well. For the Indian market, Motorola has included a 20W charger in the package, as opposed to the worldwide edition, which came with a 10W charger when it was first introduced.
Verdict
In terms of value for money, the Moto G31 is a really appealing smartphone. Our early thoughts indicate that this may be a simple recommendation for multimedia enthusiasts. In the Moto G31, those considering purchasing the Redmi Note 10 may find a more cheap and maybe even superior option.
