According to a new report, Apple is gearing up to include a new body temperature sensor for their Apple Watch Series 8. Moreover, for the Apple Watch Series 7 of this year, we can expect to see subtle changes on the feature front.
However, the Apple Watch Series 7 is said to come with a brand new design, a better display with thinner bezels to provide an overall slimmer look. Additionally, according to other leaks, the Apple Watch Series 7 could come with advanced sensors. These sensors include blood sugar level monitoring and blood pressure monitoring sensor.
Apple Watch Series 8: What To Expect?
According to the latest Apple Watch report from Bloomberg, advanced sensors are still a far cry. What this basically means that blood sugar monitoring, blood pressure monitoring and more are a couple of year away. However, we can expect to see a body temperature sensor next year. Sadly, that is not guaranteed either. There is a high chance for that to take time to arrive as well. Bloomber’s report also reveals that Apple is actually working towards bringing these feature to the Apple Watch. However, what is not clear is that when these features will actually arrive.
The blood glucose monitoring is something which will really be helpful to many upon launch. What this feature allows is for users to get results without drawing blood. Most blood glucose monitoring devices require users to draw blood from their fingertips. However, that won’t be a problem anymore if this sensor is a success.
Moreover, going by the report, Apple is actually working on these sensors. The only thing that would make it a good news is when the timeline is revealed for these new sensors. The sensors will definitely add on to the value of an Apple Watch. Additionally, another report recently revealed that UK firm Rockley Photonics will supply Apple with these sensors. This will allow the company to make these sensors on the Apple Watch a reality.
According to Bloomberg, Apple is all set to launch a new Apple Watch SE in 2022. Additionally, a rugged variant of the smartwatch for outdoor usage will also be introduced. The Apple Watch Series 7 releasing this year will not come with too many new features. However, It will come with thinner bezels, better screen lamination and an ultra-wideband chipset to power it.
