ColorOS for OnePlus Realme could soon become the standard software experience across OnePlus, Realme, and Oppo smartphones, according to a new report. The report suggests that Oppo plans to unify its software ecosystem by phasing out both OxygenOS and Realme UI in favour of ColorOS. While the companies have not officially confirmed the move, the change could mark a major shift for millions of smartphone users worldwide.
According to a report by Smartprix, citing an industry source, Oppo is bringing OnePlus and Realme closer to its core brand strategy. As part of this plan, the company may discontinue OxygenOS and Realme UI, leaving ColorOS as the single software platform across all three brands.

If the report is accurate, future OnePlus and Realme smartphones will run ColorOS instead of their current Android skins. The move is expected to simplify software development and maintenance while creating a more consistent user experience across Oppo’s smartphone portfolio.

OxygenOS has powered OnePlus smartphones since 2014 and has earned a reputation for its clean and lightweight interface. Realme UI, introduced after Realme became an independent brand in 2018, has always shared many similarities with Oppo’s ColorOS.
