During the program, they made an exciting announcement: Samsung Galaxy phones will soon be updated with One UI 8, based on the latest Android 16 OS.     In related news, the One UI 8 beta program is set to kick off as early as the end of May 2025. The latest Galaxy flagships, including the Samsung Galaxy S25, Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus, Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, and Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge. The Samsung Galaxy Fold and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 are likely to be among the first to receive the beta update. However, reports suggest that this beta program may be shorter than previous ones, with only a select number of Galaxy devices participating.

    Samsung will skip the One UI 7.1 update and roll out the new version soon. During Google’s recent The Android Show, held as a prelude to next week’s I/O 2025 event, the company confirmed that the stable version of Android 16, i.e., One UI 8, will roll out in June 2025.
