Just In! iPhone 14 Price Could Be Cheaper Than iPhone 13

The latest leaks suggest that the Apple iPhone 14 price could be lower than its previous version. On September 7, there will be a debut event for the iPhone 14. Apple will introduce four new iPhone models at the event. The iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max fall under this category.

There are rumours that the Pro models will receive significant enhancements above the vanilla ones. Apple is also said to raise the price of the iPhone 14 series due to the influx of updates. However, a recent TrendForce analysis asserts the opposite.

The price of the iPhone 14 may be less than anticipated, according to the report. According to TrendForce, the basic iPhone 14 might cost $50 less in the US than the iPhone 13 128GB, which had a $799 launch price. This suggests that the iPhone 14’s starting price might be $749. (roughly Rs 59,600). According to the source, the 14 Max might have a starting price of $849 (around Rs 67,600), down from the previously reported price of $900. (roughly Rs 71,700).

Due to the escalating worldwide inflation and fluctuating currency exchange rates, Apple is allegedly playing it cautious and not raising the price as much. The corporation intends to choose a more conservative pricing approach to prevent these variables from impacting its sales performance.

Further supporting earlier rumours, TrendForce experts predicted that the 14 Pro and the 14 Pro Max would see a price increase this year. For both models, the price increase might be between $50 and $100. Accordingly, the 14 Pro might retail for $1049 (about Rs 83,500) at launch, while the 14 Pro Max could cost $1149. (roughly Rs 91,500).

Apple iPhone 14 Series Specifications

This year’s improvements will go toward Apple’s new Pro series. With 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch screens, the business will debut its 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max models. OLED displays will support a 120Hz ProMotion display. Additionally, the notch will be replaced with a hole punch and a pill-shaped cutout. The enhanced 48MP primary camera sensor, paired with a 12MP ultrawide camera and a 12MP telephoto camera, will also be included in the Pro variants.

A 6.1-inch and a 6.7-inch OLED display will also be available for the primary 14 and 14 Max. They will, however, support the standard 60Hz refresh rate and keep the same broad notch as the 13 series.

Additionally, Apple is said to sell the updated A16 Bionic processor in the Pro versions while offering the A15 Bionic chip in the regular iPhone models. This year’s iPhones will all have 6GB of RAM. It is also rumoured that the battery size may increase on some models. The battery capacity of the iPhone 14 Pro is 3200 mAh, while the battery capacity of the iPhone 14 Pro Max is 4323 mAh.

The 14 Max will have a battery capacity of 4325 mAh, compared to the ordinary 14’s 3279 mAh capacity. The newest iPhones come pre-installed with iOS 16.
