Oppo A55 5G launched in the Chinese market as the latest smartphone from the company. Its’ price and specifications are out by the company. It is the latest A-series phone and it comes with 5G SA (Standalone Access)/NSA (Non-Standalone Access) modes. Moreover, it comes with a waterdrop notch for the selfie camera and a rectangular camera module at the back that houses triple sensors.

Its’ price is at RMB 1,599 (around Rs 18,000) for the lone 6GB RAM + 128GB storage option. The Oppo A55 5G comes in Brisk Blue and Rhythm Black color options and is already available for purchase.

Moreover, the phone is up for grabs via several online retailers in China including JD.com.

It sports a 6.5-inch HD+ display with 720 x 1600 pixels and a standard 60Hz refresh rate. Additionally, there is a waterdrop notch for the selfie camera, 88.7 per cent screen-to-body ratio, a 71 per cent NTSC colour gamut, and 480nits peak brightness.

The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC paired with 6GB of RAM. Moreover, internal storage is listing to be 128GB with the option to expand storage further (up to 1TB).

The phone runs on Android 11-based on ColorOS 11 custom skin out of the box.

In terms of optics, Oppo A55 5G has a triple camera setup on the back with a 13MP (f/2.2 aperture) primary sensor with an LED flash, a 2MP Macro Lens (f/2.4 aperture), and a 2MP (f/2.4 aperture) depth unit for portrait shots. Whereas, the phone comes with an 8MP snapper on the front for video calls and selfies.

It also packs a 5,000mAh battery.

Connectivity features include 5G, 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and USB Type-C for charging and data transfers.
