The Oppo Watch 2 will launch in China on Tuesday, July 27. According to new pictures of the next smartwatch shared by a tipster, it will have calling capability as well as built-in GPS, all of which are present on its predecessor, the Oppo Watch. The main specifications for the soon-to-be-released wearable were leaked last week, indicating that the smartwatch will be powered by a Snapdragon Wear 4100 SoC and have up to 16GB of internal storage.
Some images of the Oppo Watch 2 have been leaked by tipster Evan Blass (@evleaks). The images suggest that the Oppo smartwatch will feature calling, as well as the option to display navigation data, which could indicate the presence of a built-in GPS. In China, the first-generation Oppo Watch offered e-SIM support, as well as calling ability and a GPS chip. Both of these capabilities are likely to be included in the upcoming smartwatch.
The Oppo Watch 2 will launch in China on July 27 at 3 p.m. local time (12:30 p.m. IST), according to the company. The launch date was confirmed via a Weibo post, which stated that the launch will be for the latest Oppo Watch series, implying that the smartwatch would be available in different sizes, similar to the first-generation Oppo Watch.
