Poco M3 Pro 5G With MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC Confirmed Ahead of Launch
Poco M3 Pro 5G is gearing up for a launch on May 19th in global markets. It is launching its first 5G budget smartphone in the market soon. However, the Indian launch is delayed due to the second wave of coronavirus pandemic in India right now. After several leaks and teasers from the company, quite a lot of information is out for the device. Earlier, the company confirms the phone will come with a high refresh rate and be powered by a MediaTek chipset. In addition, this upcoming device will be the first POCO M-series device to feature a high refresh rate display.
Poco tweeted that Poco M3 Pro 5G will come with the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC. Moreover, a couple of days ago, the Poco executive confirmed the presence of a MediaTek Dimensity SoC. Since we are expecting it to be a rebrand Redmi Note 10 5G, the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC is kind of obvious. However, one should note that Redmi Note 10 5G has not launched in India yet.
Now, POCO M3 Pro 5G will ship with the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC, the company confirms. It is a 7nm processor and has 5G network connectivity. Moreover, a recently leaked render image reveals a unique new design language. It has a punch-hole cutout for the selfie snapper, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security, and a dual-tone finish on the back.
POCO M3 Pro 5G Specifications (Expected)
If the leaks are true, it is a rebrand of Redmi Note 10 5G. Then we have quite an idea of the specs of the device. It includes a 6.5-inch FHD+ LCD display with a punch-hole camera, 1100 nits brightness, and a 90Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC coupled with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, 4GB RAM, and 128GB UFS 2.2 internal storage that should be further expandable. The phone runs on Android 11-based MIUI 12 custom skin out of the box and has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security. The phone packs a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support.
Furthermore, in terms of camera, we can expect Poco M3 Pro 5G to sport triple rear cameras at the back with a 48MP primary sensor, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro lens. It has an 8MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats, an IR blaster, and Hi-Res audio. Connectivity features include 5G, dual-band 4G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and USB Type-C port for charging and data transfers.
In terms of pricing, Poco M3 Pro 5G is confirmed to be available at a price point of the Poco X3 NFC that launched in September. It has a starting price of EUR 229 (roughly Rs. 20,400) for the base 6GB + 64GB storage option. The phone also came in a 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model at EUR 269 (roughly Rs. 23,900).
