Samsung Galaxy S21 FE Surfaces on Geekbench, To Feature Snapdragon 888, 6GB RAM, and More

We already know that after the Galaxy S-series launch, we always see a fan edition (FE) of the series. Now, in the latest development, Samsung Galaxy S21 FE is under works. However, this is not the first time it surfacing online with leaks and rumors. There is no launch date yet but past reports suggest the smartphone will launch in August. Moreover, other reports suggest it will launch alongside Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3. Now, in a recent development, hardware specifications of the same are out due to Geekbench listing.

Samsung Galaxy S21 FE specifications/leaks

According to the Geekbench listing, the Galaxy S21 FE (SM-G990B) will come with a chipset -Lahaina. This is the codename for Snapdragon 888. Ultimately, it means Galaxy S21 FE will be a flagship phone like the vanilla Galaxy S21. We can also expect the Snapdragon 888-powered Galaxy S21 FE to launch in India. The Geekbench listing also reveals that the phone will come with 6GB RAM and Android 11 out of the box.

Furthermore, Samsung Galaxy S21 FE will likely get a lot of the same features as the Galaxy S21 however, with a more affordable price tag. Past renders have shown that the phone will look similar to the Galaxy S21 as well, with a center-aligned punch-hole camera and a rear camera module that curves along the edges. As per a SafetyKorea certification, the Galaxy S21 FE will pack a 4,500mAh battery. The handset is also tipped to launch in White, Light Violet, Light Green, and Gray color options. That’s all we know about the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE as of now. The device is expected to launch in August so we should hear more about it in the coming weeks.
