Sony WH-1000XM5 To Come With An Unusual Battery Life: Reports

Sony is expected to release the WH-1000XM4 successor to its most powerful headphones. The upcoming Sony WH-1000XM5’s design has been leaked online. In addition to the design, the specifications of the headphones have been leaked. According to reports, the headphones will have a large battery and improved ANC. Technik News has released high-resolution renders of the Sony WH-1000XM5.

The headphones are designed in the same way as the WH-1000XM4. The headphones have undergone minor but noticeable changes. The ear pads appear to be larger than on the previous model, and the headband has thick padding.

This implies that the new model may be more comfortable to wear. There is no slider, but an on/off button has taken its place. A button for Noise Cancellation and Ambient mode is depicted. The headphones will be coming in two colours: black and silver.

In terms of specifications, the Sony WH-1000XM5 has a longer battery life than the Sony WH-1000XM4. The upcoming headphones are expected to have a battery life of up to 40 hours with ANC, which is 10 hours longer than the WH-1000XM4.

However, charging the device is said to take longer. According to the report, it takes 3.5 hours to fully charge. The Sony WH-1000XM5’s ANC performance is expected to be improved by the use of a more powerful chipset. Sony has yet to confirm the Sony WH-1000XM5’s release date.

The Sony WH-1000XM4 costs Rs 29,900 in India. The HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN1 powers the headphones, albeit with improved algorithms. The company claims that the processor upgrade will provide 20% better noise cancellation performance than the predecessor. The WH-1000XM4 features Dual Noise Sensor technology, which captures ambient noise and sends it to the dependable HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN1.

The Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones have 40mm drivers in each earcup, allowing them to handle heavy beats and reproduce a wide range of frequencies up to 40kHz. In terms of new features, the Sony WH-1000XM4 includes a new speak-to-chat feature. When the user is speaking to someone, the music stops and the ambient sound comes in, allowing the user to continue speaking while wearing headphones.
