Nubia Red Magic 6 Pro

Gaming phones are one area of the Android market that has changed over time. While regular smartphones are constantly evolving, gaming phones tend to push the boundaries even further. Perhaps this is due to the fact that gaming phones are more recent. Perhaps it’s because gamers want more from their gear. It might be a combination of the two. The Red Magic 6 Pro is yet another gaming beast offered by the company after launching the Nubia Red Magic 5S. The smartphone comes with an improved chipset along with multiple other upgraded features. So, let’s check out those. 

Red Magic 6 Pro Price in India 

The base 12GB/128GB model of Red Magic 6 Pro is priced at CNY 4,399 (approximately Rs 49,500), while the 12GB/256GB variant costs CNY 4,799 (about Rs 49,500). (roughly Rs 54,000). CNY 5,299 gets you the top-of-the-line 16GB/256GB model (roughly Rs 59,600). The 16GB/256GB and 18GB/512GB versions of the Red Magic 6 Pro Transparent Edition are priced at CNY 5,599 (approximately Rs 63,000) and CNY 6,599 (about Rs 74,200), respectively.

When compared to the former Red Magic 5S model, the Red Magic 6 Pro has only a minor aesthetic difference. There have been some adjustments to the backplate design, which now has a more streamlined, slimmer appearance. Even the colour options for the standard Red Magic 6 and Red Magic 6 Pro are more muted, with Eclipse Black for the former and this beautiful and glossy Moon Silver for the latter. Regardless of the modifications, it’s clear that this is a phone designed for gamers and admirers of the gamer look.

Red Magic 6 Pro is constructed with a metal frame and a mix of glass and aluminium on the rear. This gives it an even more solid and expensive feel than the preceding Red Magic 5S. t does, however, possess smooth, curved edges and no indentations, making it incredibly easy to grab and hold. Interestingly, Nubia also opted to do away with the pin connections on the phone’s side, which previously stood out like a bump on a log.

When compared to the Red Magic 5S, the speaker grille, Type-C charging connector, and SIM card tray are all in the same place. The position of the shoulder triggers, the game space switch, and the internal fan intake and exhaust vents are all unaltered.

The 6.8-inch AMOLED display on the Red Magic 6 Pro features a resolution of 2400 x 1080 and a pixel density of 388 PPI. Similar to the Lenovo Legion gaming smartphone, the pixel density is lower than some of the higher-end smartphones, but it’s still robust enough to look great. Overall, owing to the rich colour profile and high contrast, the screen here has the potential to appear spectacular.  The screen brightness reaches about 630 nits at its highest setting. That’s nice and all, but the actual centre of attention here is the 165Hz display refresh rate, which is the fastest on the market. The Red Magic 6 Pro’s speed is reflected in its 500Hz single-finger and 360Hz multi-touch input rates. 

Red Magic 6 Pro is also equipped with a monster Snapdragon 888 5G processor, 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and 256 GB of ultra-fast UFS 3.1 storage. This high-end combo simply implies that the Red Magic 6 Pro can handle any activity with comfort and that you won’t have to worry about overburdening it by multitasking or playing visually demanding games. 

The built-in centrifugal fan and vapour chamber liquid cooling give the Red Magic 6 Pro a distinct edge over rivals. This is a fantastic function to have in a gaming phone, and it really helps to keep things cool during extended hours of gaming. The Red Magic 6 Pro runs Android 11 and has the Red Magic 4.0 skin on top of it. 

When compared to the Red Magic 5S, the camera technology and overall experience are almost unaltered. On the rear, there’s a 64-megapixel primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. The front-facing 8MP camera catches a good amount of detail and, once again, does an excellent job with colours. Red Magic 6 Pro’s primary camera can record up to 8K at 30fps, as well as 4K at 30 and 60fps.

First and foremost, the large 5050 mAh battery is meant to keep you gaming for as long as possible. In reality, you’ll be able to get approximately 5-7 hours of pure gaming out of most graphically intensive games, which is a respectable result overall. The charger that comes with the phone is a normal 30-watt charger that can charge the phone from 0 to 100 in around 45 minutes. 

Red Magic 6 Pro is a fascinating high-end smartphone with amazing specifications such as excellent performance, a good camera, a long battery life, plenty of storage, and a beautiful display. There’s also a 60-watt charger and 5G connection, as well as an in-display fingerprint sensor. However, the Red Magic 6 Pro has a few flaws, including its overall weight and lack of expandable memory.
