OPPO has launched a new device in the mid-range category, the OPPO A93 for providing some of the high-end specs at a reasonable cost. Also, OPPO A93 features the air gesture control that hasn’t been used by any smartphone manufacturer yet. It also comes with a quad-camera setup on the rear side and features a shiny Matte finish. OPPO A93 belongs to the mid-range bracket and comes in two colours Matte Black and Metallic White. It has been launched in a single variant, featuring 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage and available under the price tag of $320 which turns around Rs.21,000 in India. 

Like most of the devices from OPPO, the OPPO A93 features a unique design which is quite rare in the smartphone arena. OPPO has focussed more on the colour and sleekness of this device and the rear side has got a dual-tone matte finish which does not attract fingerprints.

The Quad-camera layout on the rear side looks like the early renders of iPhone 12 pro. The OPPO A93 is 7.48mm thick and comes with 164 grams of weight, making it one of the sleekest devices around. The back panel and the frame are made of plastic.

Speaking about the physical buttons, the volume rockers are placed on the left side along with a SIM tray, while the right side is included with the power button. The top side comes with a microphone and on the bottom side, there is a speaker, a Type-C charging port, a microphone and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

On the front side, the dual punch-hole is small compared to the size of the average cut-out. The form factor is almost the same as the Reno 3 Pro. The screen of OPPO A93 is brighter and the colours appear punchy. Also, the fingerprint sensor is situated under the display.

The OPPO A93 runs on the upgraded ColorOS 7.2 based on Android10, which ensures a modest design and user-friendly interface. For taking care of the graphics, there is an IMG 9xm-HP8 970MHz GPU installed in the device.
