Samsung A30 price in India 

Samsung launched this device in two variants, one with 3GB RAM and 32Gb internal storage and another with 4Gb RAM and 64Gb internal storage. For the current pricing, there is only a 4GB variant available on Flipkart and the Samsung A30 price for which is 17500. 

Highlights 

The Samsung A30 flaunts a large 6.4-inch SUPER AMOLED display with a normal refresh rate and under the hood, there is the Samsung Exynos 7 Octa 7904 chipset along with 4GB RMA and 64GB internal storage. There is a large 4000 mAh battery and the Samsung Galaxy A30 supports fast charging.  Apart from this, there is a 16MP front camera. 

There are three colour variants for the Galaxy A30 – Blue, Black, and Red.

Coming to the design aspect of the phone, it is pretty basic but quite sturdy and well-built. Although the Galaxy A30 is huge, it is very light (165g). The polycarbonate back panel features what Samsung calls the ‘3D Glasstic’ design – a glass-finish on a polycarbonate body. The glossy finish gives a premium look-and-feel factor to the phone.

As we mentioned before, the Galaxy A30 flaunts a massive 6.4-inch Super AMOLED full-HD+ Infinity-U display with a screen resolution of the 1080×2340 pixels resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The AMOLED panel speaks volumes about the display – the phone offers excellent viewing angles, great color reproduction, and good sunlight legibility.

Apart from the U-shaped notch on the top (holding the selfie cam) and a visible chin, the phone is bezel-less, which makes the viewing experience all the more refined. Not just that, the Galaxy A30 comes with a Widewine L1 certification for HD streaming, which means that you can stream your favorite shows/movies in full HD on Netflix, Prime Videos, and Hotstar!

The Galaxy A30 uses the same processor as the Galaxy M30, that is, an octa-core (1.8 GHz, Dual core, Cortex A73 + 1.6 GHz, Hexa Core, Cortex A53) Samsung Exynos 7904 chipset. For graphical performance, the phone gets a Mali-G71 MP2 GPU.

When it comes to day-to-day activities, the Galaxy A30 does not disappoint. It shows no signs of lagging or stuttering. Although the One UI 1.1 based on Android Pie isn’t exactly the most smooth UI out there, it does a decent job – navigating between apps and multitasking is very easy. On the gaming front, it offers a pleasant experience.

You can comfortably play heavy-weight games like PUBG or Asphalt 8/9 on the phone, without seeing any glitches whatsoever.

The curved edges make for an ergonomic design, making it easier to grip the body. However, the placement of the Fingerprint Sensor is not convenient (it is placed quite high).

On the top left corner lies the dual camera module with the LED flash positioned just below. The volume and power buttons lie on the right side, whereas the dual-SIM tray rests on the left. The bottom part of the body houses the 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB Type-C port, and speaker grille.

The phone has a 4000 mAh battery that is bundled up with a 15W fast charger. The battery can last an entire day provided you use it for routine, everyday tasks like calling, texting, light social media usage, and the like. You will, however, notice a drop in the battery percentage if you play games or stream videos for prolonged hours.

However, that shouldn’t be an issue since the fast charger can charge the phone up to 70% in just an hour.

Honestly, after considering all that the Galaxy A30 has to offer, it doesn’t strike as anything refreshing or innovative when posited alongside Samsung’s recent launches. While we cannot deny that it is a good performer with a great AMOLED display, it is also true that if you shell out a little extra money, you can get the Redmi Note 7 Pro, the Realme 2 Pro, or the Galaxy M30.
