With the debut of numerous new phones in India, Nigeria, Pakistan, and other countries, Chinese smartphone manufacturer Tecno is expanding its market reach. The Tecno POP 5P is the company’s latest cheap smartphone to be released in Nigeria. In addition to a larger display and a larger battery, the smartphone replaces the original POP 5. Let’s take a look at the specifications that Tecno has offered in the Tecno Pop 5P. 

Tecno Pop 5P price in India 

2GB + 32GB storage variant of the Tecno POP 5P costs NGN 44,000 (about Rs 7,900). It is available in a variety of colours, including Rose Gold and Ather Black. JUMIA, a Nigerian e-commerce platform, sells the device. International availability is not known at this time.

Tecno Pop 5P Design 

The smartphone is made of polycarbonate and has a design that is quite similar to its predecessor. It has a contemporary aspect ratio and a water-drop notch panel. All sides of the phone have large bezels despite its contemporary appearance. For security, the smartphone sports a fingerprint sensor on the back and a face unlock function. The Tecno Pop 5P weighs 200 grams owing to the 5000 mAh battery inside.

The Tecno Pop 5P sports a 6.52-inch HD+ 720 x 1600 pixels IPS LCD display with a 60Hz refresh rate. This is a basic display that is expected from an entry-level smartphone. Here the size of the display is the only plus point. 

Tecno Pop 5P Performance 

The gadget is powered by a quad-core 1.3GHz CPU that has not been disclosed. In addition to the 2GB RAM, the smartphone comes with a 32GB internal storage capacity. MicroSD cards may be used to expand the device’s storage. HiOS skin is placed on Android 10 (Go Edition) out of the box, and the device supports dual-SIM cards, 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

Tecno Pop 5P Camera 

The smartphone has a dual-camera system in the photography department, with a 5MP primary sensor. The phone has an 8-megapixel camera on the front for selfies and video calls. Since this is a basic entry-level device, you can’t expect any higher configuration camera setup here.

Tecno Pop 5P Battery 

The phone has a 5,000mAh battery that promises to provide up to 22 hours of 3G calling, 11 hours of video viewing, 100 hours of music listening, and 790 hours of 3G standby. The Tecno Pop 5P sports normal charging and features a USB 2.0 port for connecting the charger.

For those who are shifting from a feature phone to a smartphone, the Tecno Pop 5P can be a good choice, however, adding more bucks to your budget is a wise option to grab a decent smartphone from brands like Realme, Infinix, Xiaomi or Tecno itself.
