Vivo S1 is stuffed with an FHD+ Super AMOLED display and comes with a decent 4500 mAh battery supporting 18W dual-engine fast charging. The device is powered by MediaTek Helio P65 chipset and there is an in-display fingerprint sensor included with the Vivo S1.

Vivo S1 Launch in India
Vivo has successfully established itself as one of the top manufacturers when it comes to the mid-range and budget smartphone segment in the Indian smartphone market. Although Vivo is known for its selfie cameras, now they have evolved successfully and managed to serve the consumers with a whole package. After the launch of Vivo Z1 Pro last month, the company has launched the latest Vivo S1, which has turned many heady due to its design and style. For knowing all the details better, here is a brief review of this latest smartphone from Vivo.
Viv0 S1 Price in India
Vivo S1 comes in three different configurations in India. The first one features 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage and was priced at Rs. 13,990. The second one features 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage and the initial price was Rs. 14,990. The third and the last variant features 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage and the launch price was Rs. 16,990 but is currently out of stock. But now, Vivo S1 is available only in 6GB/64GB storage option and is priced at Rs.17,490/-.
There are alternatives to this device as well that you can go with and come with multiple interesting features under the same price range. The alternatives include the Vivo S1 Pro, Vivo V20, Vivo Z1x and Samsung Galaxy M31 etc.
Vivo S1 Design
Vivo S1 is one of the most stylish smartphones by Vivo. There is gradient back panel and the device is measuring 159.53 x 75.23 x 8.13mm and weighing just 179 grams. Vivo S1 is designed with a rounded plastic frame, which makes this smartphone secure and comfortable to hold. On the front side, Vivo S1 is fully covered by the FHD+ display, featuring a U-shaped notch on the top.
On the rear side, Vivo S1 is mounted with a triple camera setup, which is placed on the top left side and the fingerprint sensor has been placed under the display. So the rear panel appears neat and clean.
Speaking of the power button and volume buttons, they are placed on the right side and the bottom side is featuring the USB 2.0 port, speaker grille and the audio jack.
Vivo S1 Display
Vivo S1 comes with a 6.38- inch Super AMOLED display, featuring a resolution of 1080 by 2340 pixels. The FHD+ display comes with a thick chin along with slim bezels. With sharp colours, deep blacks, great viewing angles and good contrast levels, the display of Vivo S1 is a real treat. With a tiny notch, the vibrant display is enough to provide the best visual experience that you can expect from a mid-range device.
Vivo S1 Processor
Vivo S1 is one of its first kinds in the Indian smartphone market to be featuring the MediaTek Helio P65 processor. The smartphone is available in three variants 4GB/128GB, 6GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB RAM which enough to handle your tasks in this price. For multitasking and smooth functioning, the processor is a decent one, but when it comes to the heavy gaming, you may encounter the slow frame rates and your smartphone may heat up.
The software on which Vivo S1 is running is the Funtouch OS, which is based on the Android 9 Pie. Although the software from Vivo is not that stunning, the full-screen navigation gestures and quick access settings like switches for Wi-Fi, Aeroplane mode, brightness control and multiple other features make this OS worthwhile.
Vivo S1 Camera
Vivo S1 is mounted with a triple camera setup on the rear side, featuring a 16MP Sony IMX499 lens with an aperture of f/1.78, an ultra-wide-angle lens with an aperture of f/2.2 and 2MP depth sensor, featuring an aperture of f/2.4. The rear camera setup is similar as in Vivo Z1, which was disclosed recently in India.
There is a 32MP selfie shooter on the front side of Vivo S1 with an aperture of f/2.0. Some of the photography features that you will be getting include PDAF, Portrait mode, AR stickers, panorama, AI face beauty, Timelapse and Slow-motion video etc.
Vivo S1 Battery
The battery department of Vivo S1 is offering a massive 4,500 mAh battery, which is enough to provide a battery backup for the whole day. Vivo S1 also supports 18W Dual-engine fast charging. For charging the device, there is a USB 2.0 port included and it will take at least two hours to charge fully.
Vivo S1 First Impressions
Vivo S1 is a decent smartphone with a good battery backup and stunning display. If it’s ok for you to ignore the camera department and you are not a heavy gamer, Vivo S1 is not a bad deal at the given price. You can also opt for the Vivo S1 Pro if you wish to upgrade your device.
