The developers have announced that Clubhouse is now available for everyone on iOS and Android meaning the App finally removes the invite-only system. Since its beta launch last year, the audio-only app has been an invite-only platform. It was initially only available on iOS, but Android beta testing began in May of this year.
Clubhouse is officially out of beta and will no longer require an invite to join, according to the developer Alpha Exploration. The company has a new logo as well as a new website.
Clubhouse was first introduced as an invite-only iOS app in April of last year. It began to gather traction, and in subsequent months, a large number of people joined, to the level where celebrities became involved. Elon Musk, the billionaire CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, appeared on the app earlier this year, and it went viral.
Other networks, like Instagram, Twitter, Reddit, and Telegram, have begun developing their own Clubhouse-style social audio services. Clubhouse is now officially out of beta and open to anyone who wishes to join on both Android and iOS.
Clubhouse Removes Invite-Only System
Clubhouse has removed the queue system; allowing anyone with a club to share their link with the rest of the world. In the same way, creators can invite their audience to Clubhouse. The application has been updated for Android and iOS, and the developers say additional updates will be released every 1 to 2 weeks. A new logo and website have also been created for the company.
The team also provided additional Clubhouse statistics, indicating that the daily room count had increased from 50,000 to half a million. Since Backchannel – the direct messaging feature was added to Clubhouse last week, 90 million direct messages have been sent. Also, 10 million members have joined the app since the beta arrived for Android.
