With just hours to go for Apple’s Wonderlust event, new details about the upcoming iPhone 15 series have emerged. The iPhone 15 lineup will include Apple iPhone 15, Apple iPhone 15 Plus, Apple iPhone 15 Pro and Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max. Details about the iPhone 15 series’ weight and dimensions has leaked before the launch.
iPhone 15 Models Leaked To Have The Same Dimensions as Last Year
According to a report by MacRumors, the iPhone 15 will weigh 171 grams and measure 147.x71.7.8mm. These are similar to the Apple iPhone 14, which weighs 172 grams and has a dimension of 146x71x7.8mm. The new model will be one gram lighter than its predecessor while maintaining the same thickness as last year.

The iPhone 15 will use the same 6013 T6 Aluminium Chassis as the iPhone 14. Since no major structural changes exist, the dimensions will remain close to last year’s model. The report further says no information regarding the iPhone 15 Plus is available, but it expects a similar weight and dimensions as the outgoing model.
iPhone 15 Pro Models To Be Lighter And Thicker Than Outgoing Models
On the other hand, the Pro Models will have significant weight changes. The iPhone 15 Pro will weigh around 188 grams and will measure 146x70x8.25mm. It will be lighter and thicker than the Apple iPhone 14 Pro, which weighs about 206 grams and has dimensions of 147x71x7.85mm.

The iPhone 15 series weight and dimensions leaked indicate that the newer model will be 18 grams lighter due to the new Grade 5 Titanium chassis. This will be a major upgrade from the stainless steel material in the iPhone 14 Pro models. This Grade 5 Titanium is used for industrial work and is reputed for its exceptional corrosion resistance.
The iPhone 15 Pro will also be thicker at 8.25mm in comparison to the 7.85mm of its predecessor. The newer model will have less prominent bezels despite its thickness due to a new LIPO display technology.

Last but not least is the iPhone 15 Pro Max, which will weigh around 221 grams and have dimensions of 159x67x8.25mm. It will also be thicker and lighter than the Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max, which weighs 240 grams and measures 160x77x7.85mm.
The lighter weight can be attributed to the new Titanium chassis similar to the iPhone 15 Pro. It is better to take these details with a pinch of salt as these are based on pre-production information. The measurement could differ in the retail units, although it is unlikely to happen.
