Last week Xiaomi confirmed that it will be launching the Redmi K40 series in China on February 25th. Now, it looks like the company’s exec is sharing teasers of the series on Weibo. This teaser shows an image of a triple rear camera setup with two large sensors and one small sensor. However, in a separate post, he confirms that the series will be the first smartphone series to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC.

The Redmi K40 series will include both a vanilla and a Pro variant. The company confirmed it by saying it a “dual flagship” launch.
Redmi K40 Series Launch Teaser
As per the teaser image, the Redmi K40 has a rectangular rear camera module that is made up of glass. The module will house three camera sensors and an LED flash. Moreover, we also see two large camera sensors, which suggests the company may be going with a 64MP or 108MP camera. The smartphone will seemingly come with a glass rear panel that is in pure black color.

In this Redmi K40 series teaser, the image shows two large sensors, a smaller sensor, and a flash. In addition, what seems to be laser autofocus — all housed inside a camera module that looks similar to the one on the Xiaomi Mi 11, only elongated.
The teaser image also shared that the K40 series launch event on February 25 will start at 7:30 pm local time (5 pm IST).

RedmiK40 Specifications (Expected)
K40 is tipped to launch with a punch-hole display instead of a pop-up camera system. The smartphone may come with an FHD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The Redmi K40 series can power by either the Snapdragon 888 chipset or the Snapdragon 870 chipset. Other Redmi K40 specs tipped so far include 8GB of RAM, 128GB internal storage, 5G connectivity, and a 4,000mAh battery with fast charging support.
