Wabetainfo, a site that tracks all the latest WhatsApp updates, has revealed that the developers are working on a new feature. It will allow users to edit messages. The report suggests that WhatsApp is working on bringing the ability to edit messages in future updates to the app.

If there is any spelling or grammar-related mistake in a sent message on WhatsApp. Even, sometimes we want to add or delete something in the message, then the edit feature will be very useful. Looks like this feature is still in the works. But it was seen on WhatsApp Beta iOS version 23.5.0.72 recently. This version came for users participating in the TestFlight program.

Will have to edit within 15 minutes:

Along with this, the new edit message feature will also allow users to edit any sent message within 15 minutes. This will allow users to edit any mistakes in the message or add more information to the original message.

Whereas WhatsApp already allows users to delete any sent message for everyone. The new feature will come in handy when one does not want to delete the entire message but instead wants to edit only a few words.

Apart from this, the feature will only support the latest WhatsApp version and will only allow the editing of messages. You will not be able to edit media captions with it.

Moreover, WhatsApp developers are working on another feature that will allow users to edit media captions. Let us tell you that the work on the edit message feature is still going on. There is no information related to making it available to all users.

A few days ago, WhatsApp launched support for transit solutions in India. iOS users can now use PiP (picture-in-picture) mode for video calls.
