Oppo K10 Design
Even though the K10 had been designed on a reduced budget, Oppo has managed to make it seem and feel upscale. Much of the rear panel, as well as much of the chassis frame, has a matte coating. Because of the back’s soft texture, it’s quite difficult for fingerprints to get on it. Even if you don’t use a case, the Oppo K10 should be OK for daily usage.
Similar to the Oppo A76’s rectangular camera module, this one has a textured region surrounding the camera bump that extends the width of the phone.
The bottom of the Oppo K10 has a headphone port. The earpiece serves as a second speaker for stereo sound in addition to the bottom-firing one. This phone has a fingerprint sensor built into the home button.
The K10’s IP54 certification is a good bonus because the majority of the competitors only have IP53 certification. While the Oppo K10’s dust resistance is on par with the competition, it should be more water-resistant.
Oppo K10 Display
You receive a 6.59-inch full-HD+ (2412×1080) LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It’s a rather standard-looking screen with acceptable brightness and colour reproduction. A cutout for the selfie camera is included, which adds a pleasant contemporary touch. However, the thick black bezels that surround the whole display are noticeable.
Oppo K10 Performance
Oppo equipped the K10 with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC. Although it does not support 5G, it is a capable processor. Additionally, you get standard wireless connections such as dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5, GPS, and an FM radio. The phone is equipped with 6GB/8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
The SIM tray of this phone has a separate microSD card slot that enables up to 1TB of storage expansion. The Oppo K10 is the latest in a long line of Oppo devices awaiting Android 12. ColorOS 11.1, which is based on Android 11, comes pre-installed on the K10.
Oppo K10 Camera
The Oppo K10 is equipped with a 50-megapixel primary camera and two secondary cameras for taking macro and depth photographs. The lack of an ultra-wide camera is a major omission. Selfies are easy with the front-facing 16-megapixel camera. Oppo’s camera software is very much like the ones we’ve seen on other recent devices. The Oppo K10 has a maximum video resolution of 1080p, but no stabilisation. Even if you reduce the resolution to 720p, there is no particular stability mode.
Oppo K10 Battery
One feature that will appeal to this phone to many is its 5000 mAh battery, which is housed in a shell that conceals the fact that it has a massive battery within. The K10 comes with a massive 33W VOOC charger that can fully charge this beast in around an hour.
Oppo K10 Verdict
The Oppo K10 is extremely similar in look and features to the newly introduced Oppo A96 but offers greater value due to its stereo speakers, macro camera, and IP54 certification. The K10 has an excellent battery life, a relatively short charging time, an attractive display, and a snappy overall performance. The Oppo K10’s primary flaws are its subpar video recording capabilities and the absence of an ultra-wide camera.
