While not as efficient as the Vivo V11 Pro, the V11i has a lot of potential in it. It is a capable phone, and if you are looking for a decent performer which looks good and has most of the capabilities of the V11 Pro, then this is a good phone to go for.
Vivo V11i modifies the V11 without changing much of its look. Priced at Rs. 23,990, the Vivo V11 arrives with a beautiful set of AI-integrated cameras and a carefully crafted display that provides an immersive experience.
However, the Vivo V11i lags in aspects like poor performance and low-light photography. And at this range, photography doesn’t hit the premium mark. All in all, it can be an excellent set for any person looking for a capable mobile with a satisfying camera set.
The Vivo V11i comes with a similar design as the V11. It has a curved design which makes it less slippery and sits comfortably in hand. On the back, there is a 3D cover which provides a beautiful fusion of colours where it shifts from black to blue in the Starry Night version. This feature of the design gives the phone a premium touch, amplified by the glittery bottom.
The back panel also houses the rear camera and a fingerprint scanner which is framed with golden lines giving it a luxurious appearance. However, the only shortcoming of this phone is that it is a fingerprint magnet and hence, needs frequent wiping.
The Vivo V11i comes with a beautiful 6.3-inch Halo FullView display. The notch on top has been trimmed to resemble a teardrop. The phone arrives with the latest aspect ratio 19:9 which provides ultra-vivid colours which are quite vibrant and bright.
However, the Vivo V11i does not come with the in-display fingerprint scanner which most premium phones are equipped with. The seamless setting of the phone with little bezels provide an immersive experience.
Vivo V11i comes with an octa-core MediaTek MT6771 Helio P60, paired with a Mali-G72 MP3 GPU and 4GB RAM. The processor is good, but you should not bet on it when it comes to gaming. Running apps on this phone can be an enjoyable experience. It runs all the essential apps required on the phone like a breeze without lagging. Even casual gaming experience on this phone can be lag-free.
However, the only problem occurs when you play high-end games at high settings. PUBG tends to run fine, but there can be small lags. The performance is just about mediocre, but for a mid-range phone, it is passable.
The Vivo V11i arrives with an incredible camera lineup, arriving with a 16MP primary camera and the secondary 5MP camera on the rear, along with a 25MP camera on the front. The rear camera comes with powerful features like AI Backlight HDR, AI Low Light Mode, and AI Scene Recognition. The V11i allows you to shoot a photo first and focus later so that you can use the AI power to help you with the picture. The AI Portrait Framing helps you to produce pictures with perfect frames. The daylight shots of V11i turns out to be fantastic with excellent contrast and punchy colours.
On the other hand, the low-light photos appear a bit grainy and worse than the low-light shots offered by V11.
The V11i arrives with a marvellous 25MP selfie camera which offers enough for selfie fanatics too. It comes with AI features like AI Selfie Lighting and AI Face Shaping. Paired with these features, you can get incredible, high-definition selfies. On the other hand, low-light shots can get a bit muddy, but with AI you can adjust the blemishes.
The Vivo V11i arrives with a powerful 3315mAh battery. It can run for a long time even when you are engaged in heavy gaming, making it a pleasant phone to keep in your pockets for long journeys. With light to moderate use, you can make it last for an entire day. If the battery does get low, you can resort to fast charging with Vivo’s Fast Charging technology that will give you adequate juice within just 40 minutes.
As a mid-range phone, the Vivo V11i is a worthy handset. It may attract you with its design, but that’s not everything that it comes with. The phone gives you reliable performance for running apps and good battery life.
However, it does lag in the performance department when compared with its competitors. While the AI-integrated cameras are a beauty, they struggle in low light. All in all, the phone is a capable all-rounder, but if you miss the in-display fingerprint scanner and the good low-light shots, then you could go for Vivo V11 Pro.
