Airtel 5G Services Surpasses The 1 Million Mark!

Airtel 5G has achieved a mark of 1 million unique users for the telecom operator. This happened just after weeks the launch of the high-speed services in India.

The company claims that this milestone is achieved in less than 30 days from its commercial launch of high-speed 5G services. The new 5G services were launched at the IMC 2022 Event by PM Narendra Modi.

The operator announced the start of its 5G services in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Siliguri, Nagpur and Varanasi in last month. These services in the cities were rolled out in a phased manner. As the company constructed its network and also planned on completing the rollout. This statement was given by the telecom operator on Wednesday.

The CEO of Bharti Airtel commented “These are early days but the response from customers has been very encouraging. Our network is being built every day even as all 5G devices are now capable of working on the Airtel 5G Plus network barring a few exceptions which should also be done in the coming weeks”.

He further added, “We will continue to advance our network with a vision to connect the entire country”.

Airtel claims that it started the 5G trials in 2021. Also, they are the first operator to commercially launch 5G services in the country.

Customers enabling 5G smartphones can enjoy high-speed services on their existing data plans. This is until the rollout happens completely. While the customers need not change their SIM. As per the operator, the existing Airtel 4G, SIM is 5G enabled.

5G Services

5G, the fifth generation of mobile network connectivity, enables the transmission of a large set of data at a very rapid speed.

While with comparison to 3G and 4G, the 5G offers very low latency. That enhances user experiences in various sectors. Low latency refers to the efficiency of processing a very high volume of data messages with minimal delay.

The complete 5G rollout is suggested to come with development in remote data monitoring sectors such as mining, warehousing, telemedicine, and manufacturing, among others.
