Samsung is working hard to improve its pixel binning technology, which can be put up in the 576MP sensor. This upcoming sensor reportedly has 0.8µm pixels and is 1/0.57″ big. This points towards a large camera bump if used in mobile phones. Samsung is trying to not limit itself to smartphones and to find more sensor applications outside the niche.
