Vivo T5 Pro vs Vivo T4 Pro: Price And Availability
The price of the Vivo T5 Pro 5G in India starts at Rs. 29,999 for the basic version, which has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The next option, with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, costs Rs. 33,999. The most advanced version, which includes 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, is priced at Rs. 39,999.
The Vivo T4 Pro 5G price starts at ₹27,999 in India for the basic model with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. There are also larger models available, such as one with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage and another with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. These larger models usually cost between ₹29,695 and ₹31,999.

Vivo T5 Pro vs Vivo T4 Pro: Design And Display
Vivo T5 Pro comes with a totally new design appearance as well as a flat display. Last year, I used the T4 Pro, which has a subtle curved design, and its camera layout was almost identical to that of the Vivo V60.
Now Vivo has replaced the T5 Pro with a flat design, a little bit thicker at 8.3mm compared to the T4 Pro’s 7.5mm. Both phones have a plastic frame and a glossy finish on the back. Also, T5 Pro is slightly heavier at 213 grams than T4 Pro at 192 grams. But keep in mind that Vivo T5 Pro has a huge 9020 mAh battery, which is why it has a heavy and thick body.
To protect against water and dust, both phones have an IP68/IP69 rating, which means they can withstand high-pressure water jets, making them submersible up to 1.5m for 30 min. Vivo T5 Pro comes in Cosmic Black and Glacier Blue, while Vivo T4 Pro is available in Nitro Blue and Blaze Gold.
Likewise, Vivo T5 Pro comes with a 6.83 inches AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. Vivo T4 Pro has a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Both phones sport 5000 nits of peak brightness.

Vivo T5 Pro vs Vivo T4 Pro: Camera and Battery
I was shocked to see the Vivo T5 Pro’s camera details: 50 MP (Sony IMX882) + 2 MP (Bokeh). On the other hand, Vivo T4 Pro comes with a 50 MP OIS Main + 50MP OIS Periscope Telephoto Camera + 2 MP Bokeh. In the latest model, the dedicated telephoto lens is missing, which is why you will see a clear difference between the two phones’ images.
The Vivo T4 Pro has a 3x optical zoom, allowing you to see distant objects three times closer. This makes it better than the T5 Pro for taking clear pictures of distant objects and for capturing nice portraits.
Both phones have the same 32MP front camera, but Vivo T5 Pro offers better selfies thanks to a wider f/2.0 aperture lens. You can also record 4K video at 30 fps with the rear camera on both phones.
Moving on to the battery segment, the Vivo T5 Pro is ahead of the Vivo T4 Pro. It’s because the T5 Pro comes with a huge 9,020mAh battery while the Vivo T4 Pro has a 6,500mAh battery.
This is a major shift in both models, with T5 Pro becoming the 1st choice for those who want better battery life over better camera capability. Both phones have a 90W fast charger, but the T4 Pro will take less time to charge fully because it has a smaller battery than the T5 Pro.

Vivo T5 Pro vs Vivo T4 Pro: Performance and Software
Vivo T5 Pro’s performance segment is also a shocking point because of the inclusion of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset. A downgraded chip compared to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 found in the T4 Pro.
Usually, Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 achieves an AnTuTu score of approximately 1.1-1.2 million points. On the other hand, Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 usually achieves an AnTuTu score of approximately 1.3 million to 1.4 million points, which is even higher.
But Vivo claims Vivo T5 Pro offers better performance, it can also be because it has UFS 3.1 type storage, while T4 Pro has UFS 2.2 type storage. Honestly, this is not a major change when we focus on raw performance; then the T4 Pro has a clear edge.
The software segment is almost the same; nothing has changed. The Vivo T4 Pro was originally launched with Android 15 and Funtouch OS 15, with four OS and six Android updates. Just a few months ago, Vivo adopted Origin OS 6 across all models, including in India and globally. Initially, Origin OS was exclusive to Chinese models, but the T4 Pro has already received multiple Origin OS updates.
The Vivo T5 Pro comes with OriginOS 6 already installed when you buy it. The company promises to provide three updates to the operating system and security fixes for five years. So, if we compare year by year, both represent the same updates.

The Vivo T5 Pro vs Vivo T4 Pro comparison feels more like a trade-off than a clear upgrade. The T5 Pro brings a massive battery, smoother display, and newer software, making it ideal for heavy users and gamers who prioritise endurance. However, the T4 Pro still holds strong with a better camera setup and slightly stronger raw performance, which makes it a smarter pick for photography lovers and balanced usage.
