Google Officially Confirms Pixel 5 And Pixel 4a 5G

Google Pixel 4a took the market by storm earlier and people are psyched for the upcoming devices as well. Although the company has officially confirmed the launch dates of the smartphones, they did not reveal the specifications and price. However, we do know about the expected specifications of the device through past leaks.

Google Pixel 5, Pixel 4a Expected Specifications

As per the leaked rumors, the Google Pixel 5 will feature a 90Hz FHD+ OLED display. The size of the display is mostly likely going to be around that of 5.8-inches. Furthermore, we will also see a punch-hole design in which the front camera will be integrated.

On the processor front, the upcoming Google Pixel 5 might be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 SoC processor. Additionally, the powerful processor will be paired with 8GB of RAM as per the leaks. Moreover, the smartphone will also pack a decent 4000 mAh battery.

On the camera front, the Google Pixel 5 will have a dual camera setup. The setup will include a 12.2-MP main Sony IMX363 camera alongside a secondary 16-MP Sony IMX481 camera with 0.5x wide-angle lens.

The Google Pixel 4a 5G’s features haven’t showed up on any leaked renders at the moment. However, it is understandable that the 5G variant will have similar features to that of the standard model. The main difference will lie in that of the processor powering the devices. A great thing is that Google will be enabling 5G support in both the devices which makes them future-proof.

Official Launch Date And More

Google has taken to Twitter to share the official launch dates of the Google Pixel 5 and 4a 5G. The tweet mentions the launch date to be on September 30 at 11 AM PT which is 11:30 PM IST. The event has been named as ‘Launch Night In’ and will be a virtual launch event like the previously launched devices.

However, the tweet does not reveal anything else about these two Google Pixel devices. Although the live stream details has not been revealed by the company, it will mostly be streamed via Google’s various social media handles. Also, the company will launch a new version of Chromecast alongside these devices. Furthermore, Google will also announce a brand new smart speaker. Details of this particular speaker are not known at the moment but, the launch day will reveal it all.

Both the devices seem to be great additions to the already existing and successful Google Pixel series of phones. Both the devices seem to be falling under the premium mid ranger segment of smartphones. We are looking forward to hearing more about these devices from the company in the coming days.
