Google has introduced a new benefit for its AI subscribers by bundling free access to YouTube Premium Lite with the Google AI Pro plan. The latest move is aimed at making the company’s Gemini AI subscription more attractive for users who regularly use YouTube and AI tools together. The new offer gives eligible users ad free viewing on most YouTube videos without paying extra.
However, the Google AI Pro YouTube Premium benefit is not available to everyone. Google has confirmed that only users paying directly for the AI Pro subscription can access the free YouTube Premium Lite membership. Users currently enjoying the free 18-month Google AI Pro trial through Reliance Jio will not receive the benefit during the promotional period.
The update arrives at a time when Google is also facing criticism over new Gemini AI usage limits, with many subscribers expressing frustration online.
Who Gets The Google AI Pro YouTube Premium Lite Benefit?
Google clarified that the YouTube Premium Lite offer is limited to active paid AI Pro users. Trial users who joined through the Reliance Jio partnership will become eligible only after they switch to a paid subscription.
The clarification was shared by Vikas Kansal on X, where he explained that free trial members would need to complete the promotional period before accessing the YouTube Premium Lite feature.
YouTube Premium Lite is currently priced at Rs 89 in India and offers a basic ad free experience for most regular YouTube videos.

Alongside the new YouTube offer, Google has also changed how Gemini AI usage limits work for subscribers. Instead of fixed daily prompts, the company has introduced a compute based model that tracks usage depending on:
- Prompt complexity
- Conversation length
- AI tools used
Google said usage limits now refresh every five hours until users reach their weekly cap, as per the Google AI Pro plan. Many users on Reddit criticised the change, saying the system feels confusing and unpredictable.
Some users claimed long Gemini conversations consumed a large part of their weekly quota within minutes. Others argued Google should have explained the changes more clearly before rolling them out globally.
