Sony has announced a major PlayStation Plus price hike in India, increasing subscription rates across all membership tiers, including Essential, Extra, and Deluxe. The updated prices are now live on Sony’s PlayStation website and apply to both new and existing users.
The company has started informing customers about the revised rates through email notifications. Sony said the increase comes due to “ongoing market conditions.” The move follows similar PlayStation Plus price hikes in several international markets earlier this month.
Existing subscribers will get temporary relief, as the old pricing will remain valid until their next billing cycle on or after July 19, 2026.
New PlayStation Plus Price Hike In India
Sony has raised prices for monthly, quarterly, and yearly subscriptions across all PS Plus plans.
PlayStation Plus Essential:
- 1 month: Rs 649 (earlier Rs 499)
- 3 months: Rs 1,559 (earlier Rs 1,199)
- 12 months: Rs 5,139 (earlier Rs 3,949)
PlayStation Plus Extra:
- 1 month: Rs 979 (earlier Rs 749)
- 3 months: Rs 2,599
- 12 months: Rs 8,709

PlayStation Plus Deluxe:
- 1 month: Rs 1,109
- 3 months: Rs 2,989
- 12 months: Rs 9,879 (earlier Rs 7,599)
The PlayStation Plus price hike has significantly increased the annual cost of premium plans, especially the Deluxe membership.
Existing Subscribers Get Time Until July 19
Sony confirmed that current subscribers will continue paying the older rates until their next renewal date after July 19. If a user’s subscription renews before that date, the existing pricing will still apply.
However, Sony also clarified that any changes made to a subscription before July 19, such as upgrading, downgrading, or extending a plan, will immediately shift the account to the new pricing structure.
The PlayStation Plus service offers online multiplayer access, monthly free games, exclusive discounts, and a game catalogue for Extra and Deluxe members.
