Vivo X300 FE Design and Build

Vivo X300 FE comes with a unique design, similar to the Google Pixel or Apple iPhone Air designs, rather than the traditionally X-series rounded camera shape.

    Vivo X300 FE camera design

This phone comes with an aluminium frame and body dimensions of 150.8 x 71.8 x 8.2 mm. The thickness is a little much, but it fits perfectly in a single hand.

    design

I liked it most: its matte finish prevents it from slipping in the hand, and it does not attract fingerprint stains. You get a protective cover, but it collects dust quickly, so I mostly used the Vivo X300 FE without one during the review.

    side

Camera and corner edges are perfectly rounded, so you will not see any sharp edges. After having a huge 6500 mAh battery and a telephoto lens, this is also relatively 190 grams lighter.

    top

Vivo also added IP68/IP69 ratings for dust-tight and water-resistant performance. So, it can withstand high-pressure water jets and is submersible to a depth of 1.5 meters for 30 minutes.

    bottom

Moving on to ports, the top contain a IR Blaster and a secondary speaker, while on the right side, a power button and volume buttons are placed. At the bottom of the phone, you can see a Type-C port, a speaker grille, and a SIM tray.

    Vivo X300 FE Camera

The camera is one of my favourite parts of the Vivo X300 FE review. I think this is one of the best camera phones in the 80K price range, especially considering its performance in different lighting and shooting conditions.

    Vivo X300 FE camera sample

Two things matter the most while I review a device. First is how much clarity, dynamic range, natural colours, and depth the camera captures in an image. These types of images are ideal for users who like to work on post-production, such as colour grading, adding LUTs, and making manual edits.

    camera sample

Second is how social media-friendly the camera output looks instantly. This includes rich colours, added bokeh, artificial light rays, and a slight smoothness effect that makes photos look ready to post without editing.

    camera sample

So, the Vivo X300 FE is perfectly suited to the second category, as it consistently delivers social-media-ready images under almost every condition.

    camera sample

I even did a detailed Vivo X300 FE camera review, which you can read in this article as well, for better understanding. In harsh light, this phone still managed to capture balanced images. Just look at some of my portraits and buildings where the lighting was too bright, but the results still look balanced.

But I liked it most for its camera capabilities in low-light conditions, where this phone becomes a beast. After AI optimisation, it offers even richer colours with better clarity in its final results.

Its stabilisation is another impressive part of this phone. I clicked multiple images while riding an autorikshaw, but the final results look like a stable shot.

    camera sample

Talking about the front camera, it features a 50MP wide sensor that delivers amazing results in both day and night conditions.

You can also record 8K video at 30 fps with the rear camera and 4K video with the front camera.

Vivo X300 FE Battery and Charging

Vivo X300 FE comes with a huge 6500mAh battery capacity for long-lasting battery life on a single charge. I used this phone to go from a long gaming session to watching IPL matches straight for hours. So, I got almost 10 hours of screen-on time (SOT) on a single charge while watching live IPL matches and scrolling through social media.

    Vivo X300 FE battery

But when I did heavy gaming with BGMI, I got almost 8 hours of SOT, which is fine enough. So, battery life depends entirely on usage. If you use this for normal or just calling, and other purposes, then you can get more.

    charger

I also got a 90W fast charger with the box, and it took almost 60 minutes to charge fully. But this also comes with a feature called “High-Speed” charging mode. I charged this phone in High-Speed charging mode, and it charged fully in 45 minutes, but the phone experienced higher temperatures due to unwanted pressure on the battery.

This phone also supports 40W wireless charging and reverse charging as well. Bypass charging features are also included so gamers can play while charging, and this will not harm battery health.

    Vivo X300 FE Display

Vivo X300 FE features an amazing 6.31-inch LTPO AMOLED display with 1B colour support. Moreover, it supports HDR10, allowing you to watch high-quality content on OTT platforms and YouTube as well.

    display quality

Vivo also added 2160Hz PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) dimming technology, which manages brightness by turning pixels on and off 2,160 times per second.

    Vivo X300 FE display

This very high frequency makes the flicker invisible to the human eye, reducing eye strain, headaches, and fatigue, especially when using the phone at low brightness in dark environments.

    display

This phone also comes with 5000 nits of peak brightness, allowing you to use it freely in daylight with minimal screen reflections. I even used this phone’s open lighting, so I can’t be reflection-free, but it’s really better compared to similar-priced phones like the Samsung Galaxy S26.

    refresh rate

It also comes with a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth display scrolling. You can also change from setting to adaptive to 60Hz as you wish. Moreover, its front display is rated to Mohs level 4 for protection.

    Vivo X300 FE Performance

Vivo X300 FE comes with one of the most powerful chips of Qualcomm SM8845 Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 (3 nm). It brings several major advantages, especially for users who care about flagship-level speed, gaming, AI features, battery life, and camera processing. Qualcomm claims around 36% better CPU performance compared to older flagship chips.

    Vivo X300 FE gaming

This phone offer faster app opening, smooth multitasking, better heavy editing performance, excellent long-term speed stability and better flagship-level responsiveness

The new Adreno GPU delivers improved graphics rendering and power efficiency. Qualcomm mentions up to 11% faster graphics performance. I played a lot of BGMI, Asphalt Legend and other high-graphic games. I got stable, high-FPS gaming, better ray tracing support, and smoother BGMI and Genshin Impact gameplay.

But I have just one issue during Vivo X300 FE review, it features an advanced Efficient VC Liquid Cooling System. This is specifically engineered to maximise sustained performance, especially during heavy gaming and 4K video recording. Even after having it, I still faced thermal issues after long gaming and camera sessions. So, this is a major flaw that gets fixed but cools down quickly if you keep the phone unused for a few minutes.

This phone also has UFS 4.1 storage, which offers faster data transfer and can handle multiple apps running in the background simultaneously.

Overall, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 makes the Vivo X300 FE feel like a true flagship killer by combining strong performance, excellent efficiency, powerful AI, and premium gaming capabilities in a balanced way.

Vivo X300 FE Software and UI

The Vivo X300 FE runs on Android 16 with the latest OriginOS 6 skin on top. Vivo has now fully transitioned from the older Funtouch OS experience, and honestly, this feels like a major upgrade in day-to-day usage. The UI now looks cleaner, more modern, and far more polished than before.

    Android 16

OriginOS 6 brings a fresh visual experience with smoother animations, refined icons, and better widget customisation.

    origing Os 6

There is also a Dynamic Island-style interactive notification system that feels quite useful for music playback, timers, calls, and background activities. You can customise the home screen layout, wallpapers, icon styles, widgets, and overall system appearance easily.

    Vivo X300 FE dynamic land

I personally used the app drawer in A to Z sorting mode, though Vivo also lets you sort apps by usage frequency. Scrolling feels extremely fluid throughout the UI, and the opening and closing app animations are among the smoothest I have seen on an Android phone recently.

    Apps

Vivo has also packed several AI-powered features into the X300 FE. Most of them are deeply integrated with the camera system. Features like AI telephoto tracking help while capturing distant moving subjects, while generative AI effects can intelligently enhance landscape and night shots. The phone also benefits from Vivo’s advanced image-processing pipeline for better portrait and video optimisation.

    Vivo X300 FE UI

Apart from camera-focused AI tools, you also get Google Gemini integration, Circle to Search, AI Eraser, smart photo editing tools, live translation features, and other productivity-focused AI enhancements inside OriginOS 6.

    UI

Another big advantage is software support. Vivo promises up to five major Android updates, making the X300 FE a much more future-proof option than previous Vivo flagships.

    Verdict

The Vivo X300 FE is easily one of the best compact flagship phones in its segment. It offers excellent ZEISS cameras, powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 performance, long battery life, and a much cleaner OriginOS 6 experience. The phone also feels premium in hand while delivering smooth day-to-day usage.

Although heating during heavy gaming still needs improvement, the Vivo X300 FE review remains a strong recommendation for users who want flagship cameras, battery life, and performance in one balanced package.
