The Vivo V19 and the POCO F2 Pro are one of the most exciting smartphones then went official recently. With one being a mid-range segment competitor and the other being a flagship device, we thought that it would be interesting to see how the two compare with each other.
The Vivo V19 launch price in India is set at Rs. 27,990 and Rs. 31,990 for the 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB variant respectively. On the other hand, the POCO F2 launch price starts at a hefty €499 for the 6GB+128GB variant whereas the 8GB+256GB variant is priced at €599.
Like we have seen in previous Vivo smartphones, the Vivo V19 too flaunts a stunning and glossy back design. With a comfortable curved glass back accompanied by a polished gradient finish, the device comes with a familiar rectangular camera module setup protruding at the top-left corner. The device is available in Mystic/Sleek Silver and Piano/Gleam Black colour options.
The POCO F2 Pro, on the other hand, gets a similar gradient finish at the back but with a circular camera module placed in the center. The back design is pretty similar to the one we found on the POCO X2. It also gets Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on both front and back. The smartphone is available in Neon Blue, Phantom White, Electric Purple and Cyber Grey colour options

The Vivo V19 packs a 6.44-inch Full-HD+ Super AMOLED panel with a resolution of 2400×1080p. Along with an in-display fingerprint scanner and Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection on top, the device gets a 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut support and an 83.7% screen-to-body ratio. There is also a trendy dual selfie-camera punch-hole at the top-right edge.
The POCO F2 Pro packs a similar 6.67” FHD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The device gets a pop-up selfie camera instead of the modern punch-hole camera system. But this leads to an impressive 92.7% screen-to-body ratio. With Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and HDR10+ certification, the panel also gets a 180Hz Touch Sampling rate.
The Vivo V19 stands far behind the POCO F2 Pro when it comes to performance as it gets a less powerful Snapdragon 712 chipset as compared to the mighty Snapdragon 865 chipset present on the POCO F2 Pro.
The SD 712 on the Vivo V19 is paired with 8GB of RAM and 128/256GB of UFS 2.1 expandable storage. For graphics, we have the Adreno 616 GPU under the hood. The Vivo V19 gets Funtouch 10.0 which runs on Android 10 out-of-the-box.
The SD 865 on the POCO F2 Pro gets paired with a 6GB LPDDR4X or 8GB LPDDR5 RAM along with 128/256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The device runs on the latest version of Android 10 along with POCO launcher 2.0 on top.

Both the smartphones include an impressive quad-rear camera setup with the POCO F2 Pro getting a better primary lens. The Vivo V19 gets a 48MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture along with an 8MP ultra-wide lens with f/2.2 aperture. This sits alongside a 2MP macro lens and 2MP depth sensor, both with f/2.4 aperture. At the front is a 32MP primary lens and an 8MP ultra-wide lens with f/2.1 and f/2.3 aperture respectively.
The POCO F2 Pro, on the other hand, gets a superior Sony IMX686 64MP main camera with f/1.9 aperture, a 13MP wide-angle lens with f/2.4 aperture and 123-degree FoV. This gets coupled with a 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture along with a 5MP tele macro camera with f/2.2 aperture. At the front is a 20MP selfie pop-up camera with f/1.8 aperture. Sitting beside is a Dual-LED dual-tone flash.
The Vivo V19 is capable of recording Full HD videos at 30fps whereas the POCO F2 Pro can record up to 8K@24/30fps and 4K@30/60fps.
